Project Non Smart Home 3.0

 Once again, it's June, and a new school year ends.

It has been a new chance for our 3rd ESO students, to convert their dreams into real things by designing and building their Non Smart Homes.

You can consult the conditions in a previous year entry.

 In this case we took the pictures including the group sketch and the final built project. It is very interesting to spot differences, and how distant or close ideas and reality are in each case. 

We have minimalist designers:

 

 Other designers prefer dining rooms with sofas, different models of TV...:

 

Bedrooms were present too:

There were groups that prefer lofts, including different stages: bedroom, kitchen and dining room in the same space.

 And finally, the projects to be saved from  recycling are these:

  

Kitchen with fan, microwave and oven

 

 Garden with chill out area, night lights and fan.

 

Creepy house with strange lights, sounds and motions 

 

Dining room with plasma TV, air conditioner and relaxing lights

The experience of working in teams, design something together, find the difficulties to get it into a real object, and the pride of seeing it working is completely worth.

11th February 2026: International Day of Women and Girls in Science

 

Once again this year, in our Technology class, we celebrated the International Day of Women and Girls in Science by creating Scratch games that introduce us to the lives and work of women in science. 

 This year, we coordinated with the Physics, Chemistry, and English teachers, and the information gathered and reviewed for these subjects was used for our games. Here you are a selection of the best ones to inspire you.
